I know I saw on the previous page about the 48 hour notice for shows. I don't know if we can change your mind on it but I am another DJ who is going to be sending in a demo soon and will want to get on the schedule as much as I can.

My scheduled work hours are 2:00pm - 12:00am, seven days a week. My job is however a 24 hour on call job so sometimes I do get called in early sometimes. With that in mind it can be difficult for me to schedule 48 hours in advance. Yes, I can probably schedule a weekly slot and make that show. I only ask because I get the itch to spin at random times and wouldn't mind jumping on the schedule for a live show instead of reruns.

I have gone into the chat a lot more often and I would say a good majority of the time I am the only one in the chatroom. I'm not sure if I were to want to do a random show, what would be the best way to get on the schedule if there was not an admin in the room or a way to get in touch with one.

Just letting you know where I will stand.

Its only 6 hours notice for a resident DJ... and 12 hours for a Boost DJ. The trial dj restriction of 48 hours is because we like to have an admin around when the trial goes live if possible.

As for the chatroom, that will most likely change with the new one im working on.. mind you the whole site is changing VERY shortly :)

Yeah, I remember you saying something about a possible change in the future. And that is cool about the different hours, and understandable about wanting an admin around.

Was just chiming in with what my situation would be. I am definitely going to start contributing as soon as I can though.

So here it is Turkey day, and didn't know that mIRC isn't free anymore.
That sucks because, do DJ's HAVE to use this when they are live?

I'm not going through a sheet load of configurations because this has changed since I last logged in. I'm going to relax today. So I hope that makes others happy you have to pay mIRC monthly 20$. I wouldn't ever use it anywhere else.

This continues I probably won't be around boost long. Unless I can get something freeware to get into chat, EVEN being a listener I'm not paying for it!

Like it or not, these days I really stopped giving a hoot anyways.

Ummmm MiRC is just one of many IRC programs, and its a $20 lifetime licence.

You can always grab xchat from www.xchat.org which is free, or just continue to use the webchat interface on http://www.boost.fm/chat/

We introduced the IRC server to allow those who have mobile devices and wanted a less bandwidth heavy option to connect, on android you can use AndroIRC (free) or on iphone Mango IRC (free).

@ phonic.. I have no clue what your talking about.... It's a java based program and i just click "chatroom" on the main page and it comes right up.. maybe you need to look over your pc configuration.. also i posted a free chat client for mac users as well.. we went to an IRC based chat to keep up with our competators.. And on that note I do care.. and if you don't care about boost moving to keep up with the times.. then I don't care what you think. It's all about progress bro.. now why don't you stop blasting us and let us do what we need to.

Don't know if someone has suggested this but maybe putting all the names of the Boost Managment
and crew on a linked page so everyone gets a clear idea of who's doing what.
Also the Avatars have not been working or at least i can't change mine don't know if anyone else has this problem.
